ABOUT MACKEREL SCAD

Distribution:Mackerel scad (also known as bigeye scad) is distributed in both the Pacific Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean, and has become one of the major commercially fished species worldwide. The western North Pacific population of mackerel scad can be caught in China’s South China Sea, East China Sea, Yellow Sea, and Bohai Sea. Shishi City in Fujian Province, whose fishing area is part of the East China Sea, is a key production area for bigeye scad, yielding large quantities annually.

Nutrition:Mackerel scad is rich in nutrients. It contains high-quality protein, with as much as 22.7 grams of protein per 100 grams of fish meat. Its amino acid composition is complete, making it easily digestible and absorbable by the human body.
