Geographically, the rainbow runner can be spotted in the waters surrounding Taiwan; however, it is more frequently observed in Taiwan’s eastern coastal areas. In the Hualien region specifically, this fish is most commonly caught during the spring and autumn seasons.Typically, the common total length of an adult rainbow runner reaches around 80 centimeters.
